Jennifer Cook is a Yoga Tune Up®  teacher in the New Haven area, as well as a Massage Therapist . She found yoga about 13 years ago and was hooked. Never before had she flet such a connection to her body. Jennifer received her 200 RYT from YOGAspirit® in 2005 but didn't stop there. Although not teaching full time, she continued to learn and grow. Jennifer quickly realized that she needed to disect every pose, every muscle action to understand what was happening when instructing given to students to turn the right foot in and the left foot out. She became an "anatomy junky." She found Yoga Tune Up in 2009 and had that Ah-ha moment! Traditional yoga is wonderful, but so many poeple aproach it not knowing it's true benefits. Alignment and awareness is key. Practitioners need to know their bodies. They need to know how to move safely, and to work with their abilities as well as with their restrictions. Jennifer trys to make a one on one connection with her students looking for the students realization of the Ah-ha moment. Her knowledge and compasion creates a safe and challeging environment for students to explore, heal and grow.
